Abolish the Metric System!

One of the biggest arguments is that if we are to progress, we must change. Unfortunately, few people stop to wonder whether these changes will make our lives easier. What is the point of "progress" when life is made more difficult? Is this really progress? Or has progress simply come to mean 'change', regardless of the outcome?
